Testimony of Pastor Katuri
Greetings to you all in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Glory to God. I thank the Lord for this good opportunity to share my testimony with you now. I am from South India. I was born into a Hindu Family in 1965. My forefathers and parents were very staunch worshippers of false Gods. They bowed before idols day and night. They keenly observed every tradition and the rituals of Hinduism but my parents had no blessing in their lives. My parents did not have children. Though my mother became pregnant many times she lost the baby every time. My parents had to lead a life of misery and disgrace. They tried every God for a child but this was in vain.
One day a Pastor visited our house and shared the good news of Jesus Christ. My parents started to attend church services believing Christ would bless them with a child. The Lord heard their prayers and as a result I was born. They were very happy but our relatives started to give lot of trouble. When they knew that we believed and accepted the Lord Jesus into my life. I was persecuted, blamed and rejected among my community, by my relatives and friends. However, God never left us alone but the Lord helped us in our troubles and trials.
Years passed on and I started my college studies. I became evil and was associated with bad friends and followed evil ways such as drinking, watching movies and smoking etc. These temporary worldly pleasures couldn’t bring joy in my life. Instead I lost my peace. I asked my self why was I living in this world? What is the meaning of my life? What is the profit of living in this world? Where shall I find real peace so on. These painful questions showed more darkness in my soul. One day when I was reading the bible the Lord spoke to me through ROMANS 14:8 “for whether we live life unto the lord, whether we die die unto the lord.” . so I turned to the Lord and confessed my sins with tears in a closed room and sought the help of the Lord. The Lord filled me with joy and peace.
I was water baptised in 1988. I was married in 1989 and the Lord blessed us with two sons. My wife is a prayerful woman of the Lord. The Lord called me for full time ministry. I joined in bible college and gained my graduation certificate. I was ordained by Rev.R.R.K.Murthy on 05-06-1993. I started my ministry among my relatives and the work is still prospering day by day. I registered the organisation name as called by God when He spoke with me from the book of Romans 5;5 “THE LOVE OF GOD POURED IN OUR HEARTS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT”. Therefore I named the ministry THE LOVE OF GOD Ministries. We are all in God’s vineyard and preach the word of God to the unsaved and unreached areas in my area. Many Hindu families have turned to God and confessed our Lord Jesus Christ as their personal saviour in their lives. All glory be to God alone. We have been in God’s ministry for 20 years. We have a vision in my ministry to win souls for the Lord
In 2008 by the grace of God we built a church among Hindus. Many Hindus have accepted Christ in my ministry and God has done many signs, wonders and miracles in my ministry.
We have some co-workers in my ministry to help edify the body of Christ in this uncertain world to build his glorious kingdom.
We would like to start some activities for the glory of God among the needy people in my area. Our resources are limited in the new ministry but we hope in Him and have been doing our level best for Him but because of this problem we cannot move fast in our work. However, the Lord is sufficient. Please pray for us and our ministry in your daily prayers. In closing with much love and prayers towards you and your families.
